Jessie wholeheartedly wishes you a fulfilling, meaningful transition into motherhood and your growing family!

Jessie’s Background

Jessie, originally from Baltimore, received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yale University. Jessie began her career in education in Washington, DC, relocating to Portland over a decade ago. While taking some time away to travel the world, Jessie met her husband and started a family in Spain. The transition into motherhood led Jessie down a beautiful and challenging path of self-discovery and growth. The support and empowerment that she and her husband received from their doulas and providers throughout pregnancy, birth, and miscarriage were essential.

Jessie began her doula training in Valencia, Spain when her eldest son was an infant. The 10-month, full spectrum training was inspiring and life-changing. In Spain, she also trained in prenatal yoga. Jessie moved her little family to Portland and they welcomed their second son. While he was a baby, Jessie continued her training and worked hard to acquire the internationally-recognized DONA birth doula certification, CD(DONA).

Jessie lives her life under the guiding principle of gratitude, and treasures the full spectrum of life’s experiences, the beauty and the pain. She feels honored to share her journey with her beloved husband and two sons in the amazing Pacific Northwest. Jessie, both a nature-lover and an extroverted urbanite, loves to sing and dance, see live music, throw parties, and thrift shop.
