Postpartum Planning: Surviving and Thriving

Is getting ready for postpartum recovery and life with a newborn causing you stress? Are you looking for guidance on how to prepare effectively? Come learn from Doula Love’s experience supporting hundreds of families in the early months after baby’s arrival. This class will provide: helpful information, time to explore your postpartum goals and priorities, tools to make a postpartum plan, and a workbook that will continue to guide you in the final weeks/months of pregnancy. Partners are encouraged to participate.
Topics include:
  • What to expect in the first 3 months
  • Planning holistically for the whole family
  • What to do before baby arrives (classes, supplies, services)
  • Normal vs not normal, how to know the difference
  • Why it takes a village
  • Finding your village, creating a support team/network
  • How professionals can help
  • How family and friends can help
  • Strategies for self care (getting fed, sleeping, body care)
  • Local resources
 Instructors are Veteran Postpartum Doula Heather Lobitz and Rachel Emery 
When: Offered the Fourth Monday of most months from 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Cost: $60.00

A full refund, minus a $5.00 processing fee will be given upon request at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of class. If request for refund is made after the 2 week deadline no refund will be issued, at that time. Student may transfer fee to future class if available
