Cindy Stumpf, CD

Cindy Stumpf has worked in and around birth for 20 years. Growing from a little girl with a fascination for pregnancy and anatomy to a young woman with a strong desire to enact change, she became a mother at 16 years old and knew then that she would focus on improving birth in her communities.

She initially trained as a DONA doula and ICEA childbirth educator in San Diego and has since walked a path of lifelong learning, attending trainings and workshops at Birthingway College of Midwifery, the Simpkin Center for Allied Birth Professions, and a myriad of community based organizations.

She has focussed her education on supporting trauma survivors, advocacy, and supporting diverse populations. In 2010, Cindy attended the midwifery program at Birthingway School of Midwifery and completed her clinical training at Alma birth center. After working briefly as a midwife, she returned to her doula roots with a wealth of new knowledge and skills. Her most valuable teachers have been her many hundreds of clients who have trusted her to walk beside them on their birthing journeys.
