Doula Love Mentorships

Doula Love is dedicated to growing the doula profession. Our Mentorship is a place for birth professionals to cultivate a career that is robust and sustainable.

Doula Love Training Center

Doula Love Mentorship is offered June to November, 2024

Doula Love has been supporting the growth of community based and professional doulas in the Portland Community since 2017.

Starting in 2023 Doula Love has Mentors available in Portland Metro Central Willamette Valley - Deschutes County - Seattle, WA - (King, Pierce, and Snohomish County).

What is included in a Doula Love Mentorship?

  • Mentorship includes monthly learning panels attended by professional doulas in the Doula Love community. Panels are offered on Zoom Platform allowing participants to attend from any location. Topics include : Interview Skills, Prenatal Meeting, Communication Protocol - Setting up your doula practice - Self Care for Doulas - Advanced Doula Skills - Certification and More. For our homework loving students we have monthly assignments.

  • One large component of the mentorship is the opportunity to observe professional doulas in action. Observe professional doulas at Interviews and Prenatal’s. You also have the opportunity to observe classes offered to new parents to advance your knowledge base and build your network.

  • The best part of the Doula Love mentorship is the opportunity to build your doula community and connect with potential clients. We offer monthly doula gatherings, networking opportunities and consistent connection with a lead doula mentor.

Our goal during the mentorship is to connect student doulas with families looking for care. Our Match Maker will guide you as you take on your own birth doula clients and launch your doula practice.
